ILS leafletThe Adult Placement Scheme recruits, trains and supports paid carers, who support and care for people within the carer's family home.

 

 

Greenwich Living Options - Supported Living Homes

  • Greenwich homeSupported Living homes for people who want to live more independently, but who either don't want to, or are not ready to live in on their own.
  • People have their own tenancy agreements, and play a full role in decision making about issues affecting the house through the tenants meetings.

Greenwich Living Options - Registered homes

  • This supports people who have high support needs, and works with people to enable them to be included in their local community.

Other Residential and Supported Living Services

  • Greenwich Council directly provides and commissions a range of residential and supported living services from the voluntary and independent sector.
  • Specialist residential services are also commissioned by Greenwich Primary Care Trust for people who need nursing support or have mental health needs.

  • Milbury Residential Services provide residential services for Greenwich Primary Care Trust, for 80 people who need nursing support.

Abbeywood Road Community Team

  • Abbeywood Road Community Team LeafletThis is a floating support service that supports 55 people who live independently in their own homes.
  • The team supports people to develop and maintain independent living skills.

The Avenues Trust

  • The services support 10 people, some of who have high support needs.
  • Avenues also runs a service for 6 people with sensory impairments that is based Woolwich.

Choice Support

  • Choice manage a residential home in Eltham for people who have challenging behaviour.

Oxleas NHS Trust

Oxleas and Greenwich Council have worked hard to make sure that wherever possible people who have mental health problems use ordinary mainstream services.

  • Oxleas provide an assessment and treatment service and a low secure inpatient unit that both are based in Abbeywood.

Floating Support Services

  • Choice Support's floating support team provides individually designed services to people who live on their own, or with families or partners.
  • Keyring networks support a group of people living in their own flats that are scattered around a small neighbourhood, that are easily accessible from each other.
  • Community Living Scheme supports a group of people who live independently in a shared house.
  • Greenwich Living Options also has 7 registered homes in partnership with housing Associations and the Primary Care Trust. The homes are in residential areas enabling tenants to use local facilities, and making sure they are full members of society.
