- We provide major adaptations such as ramps, level access showers and stairlifts to Greenwich Borough residents with permanent and substantial disabilities.
- We do assessments with people with physical disabilities who need to move house and help them find suitable council or housing association accommodation.
- We can provide access to the adaptations service via an occupational therapy assessment only. We also support with access to rehousing service via application for the housing register (Housing Needs Unit).
How to refer
- Self referal via the Access Team, Adults & Older Peoples Services Tel: 020 8921 2304 for referral to occupational therapy team & request an assesment.
- Owner occupiers and private tenants have to apply for a means tested grant in order to receive an adaptation. They may be required to make a contribution towards adaptations.

No charges for rehousing service or council house adaptions. Fees are charged for provision of the service but these are normally met out of the grant. Our offices are not open to callers. All contact with clients is via home visits, telephone or letter. We work with people of all ages.
