What we do
- Greenwich Mencap promotes better rights for, and campaigns around issues affecting, people with learning disabilities.
- There is a Family Advisory Service - Family advisers for adults 18 and over. The family advisers provide help and support around benefits, housing, education, accessing resources and wills.
- Friendship Support Services is a befriending service for adults.
- The Riverwood Project supports adults to collect river wood, make crafts and sell them on.
- The Flexible Respite Scheme offers a respite service for people in their own homes
How to refer
- The only eligibility criteria for our service is that a person or member of the family has a learning disability.
- Our family advisor for adults can only work with people on the CLDT register.
- There is no assessment process. Anyone can refer including self-referrals.
