Greenwich Mencap manage Friends in Greenwich (FIG), They identify, train and support volunteers to befriend people with learning disabilities.

The volunteers often support people to do things like going to the cinema or out for a meal. People are often able to talk about things that are worrying them that they wouldn't want to talk about with other people involved in their lives.

Advocacy in Greenwich

Greenwich Citizen Advocacy Project identify train and support volunteers who work as independent advocates for people who find it difficult to get their voice heard.
